Now it has broken the sales record of Maruti WagonR.

Record made in 18 years

Maruti WagonR has sold around 34 lakh vehicles in its 25-year journey, while Hyundai i10 has made a record of selling 33 lakh units in just 18 years. Its 3 generation models have been launched in the market so far. These models are Hyundai i10, Grand i10 and Grand i10 Nios. Nearly 20 lakh units of Hyundai i10 have been sold in India, while the company has manufactured 13 lakh units in India and exported them to 140 countries. From India, Hyundai has sold this car in markets like South Africa, Mexico, Chile and Peru.

This car is powerful

The company has provided powerful engine options in all three generation models of Hyundai i10. Currently, Hyundai Grand i10 NIOS comes with 1.2 liter Kappa petrol manual, 1.2 liter Kappa petrol AMT and 1.2 liter bi-fuel Kappa petrol CNG powertrain options. About 1 lakh units of Hyundai i10 are sold every year in India.

The starting price of Hyundai i10 Nios starts from Rs 5.98 lakh, which goes up to Rs 9.70 lakh. The latest entry of this series, Hyundai Grand i10 Nios, was launched in the Indian market in 2019. Its highest sales have been in Gujarat, Maharashtra and Haryana. At the same time, 83 percent of the buyers of this car are married people and 45 percent are first time buyers.

Maruti Wagonr was also left behind

Hyundai i10 has given a tough competition to Maruti WagonR's record. This car was launched in India in December 1999. So far, 33.7 lakh units have been sold. Maruti WagonR has also sold 1.98 lakh units in the financial year 2024-25. This is the favorite car of the middle class of India. This is a perfect car for a family of 4 to 5 people. Due to the boxy design of this car, it gets good headroom. It is liked by people of all heights, short and tall. At the same time, its cabin space is also much better according to the family.
